With less than a month to go there will be some more significant updates to this site and blog however for now just a pick post to say please don’t bring confetti to our wedding….it’s not that we don’t like paper but we prefer bubbles so we have lots of little bubble pots for you to blow at us instead…which means all you need to bring to our wedding is your lovely selves!

Just a quick post to say that it seems John Lewis are opening the list later than expected…our gift list will go live on the 5th June…here’s the direct link to the gift list site.
It’s almost two months until the big day and there’s been lots going on.
We’ve booked cars…
We’ve booked chair covers…
We’ve sorted out pretty little guest book for you lovely people to sign
We’ve even paid a visit to John Lewis and sorted the gift list (sadly Jo kept me away from the Apple Mac’s…why can’t an iMac be a wedding present!!!?)
In between all that we’ve both been working hard…myself doing youth worky type things and Jo doing lots of final essays and dissertations. All in all though the wedding feels pretty organised…I’m convinced all this ‘weddings are so stressful’ is mainly complete hype…it’s been quite fun really…Jo’s had ideas…I’ve had ideas and all this means we should be having a wedding that really reflects the two of us!
This friday we’re going to be making some orders of service and playing with some table decorations…fun!
Anyway I need to get back to work…might make a video blog on Friday!
Our bans got read this morning at South Cave (mine) Church….1st time of 3…1st set of bans to be read…exciting stuff…it’s approaching (the counter is less than 100 days now too!)
Well it’s been a while since either of us have done anything on here so I thought I’d do a brief update.
All the invites left us about a month ago now and we’ve already had some replies come our way…many of them through this website so it’s great to know that people are using it and that my programming works!
We sat down and put the order of service together the other day, I’m not going to give anything away but it looks pretty good, the focus seems about right and for those wondering Jo will not be promising to obey me!
Finally we have a group of musicians organised for the worship band which is exciting and means we’ll have some of our favourite people providing the worship music on our wedding day (if you’re not playing we still love you!).
I think that’s all I’m going to post now!
At a time when the world is sleeping, (and I should be sleeping too) I have somehow found it appropriate write a wedding blog post. Firstly, I’m proud I managed to find my way onto the blog, as normally I’m lazy about these things so just get Mark to write something interesting. Now to the part you wanted to read about.. so what is new in camp Jarkmo this week?
Joanna: Finding juggling a wedding and studying difficult, as I cannot apply myself to work at all, and have had a busy week. Mum, Dad, Christopher and Robert visited this week, and got to see the dress, which is exciting. It was lovely to see them. In other news, I’m waiting for bridesmaids to measure up so I can order dresses for them, and am getting impatient. Also nervous as they are planning some kind of hen event, and I have no idea what they’re up to. How disconcerting! Getting increasingly anxious about my dissertation, which needs to take precedence over wedding stuff, yet somehow isn’t. Will rectify this next week.
Mark: Can’t speak too much for him, as I haven’t seen him this week, or spoken at length (we have both been busy). He has had a most sociable week, with various friends to stay. Currently, he is in a rock club in Hull with best man Joel plus the lovely Vicki Mercer, along with goodness knows who else. (At least I think he is, really, he could be up to anything!) He has also been busy finalising invites and licking envelopes: expect your lovingly licked invite in the post soon, you lucky people!
Jarkmo: Collectively, time of late has been devoted to invites. We hope you like them. Suits have also been ordered for Mark/Joel/Dad/Ushers, which is good as.. well, fully clothed is always a good look for these occasions. I’m sure we have done other things but they pass me by right now, we shall have to blog as we remember them. It’s also Sunday 21st of February, which means less than 5 months until the big day, so pop back for more news as the excitement (and madness) escalates!
